This is my story........
Janie's Bears was created in 2006 after making my granddaughter Olivia's first hand-made quilt by me, her "Nana".
I
had chenille left over and through a friend's suggestion, "Honey" was
made with the remainder of the fabric. I gave the quilt and chenille
teddy bear to my daughter at her baby shower. All of our friends and family saw this beautifully handcrafted bear and orders just started flowing in. Before I knew it, I had sold over a 100 bears!
All
of my bears and critters are made with soft chenille and have felt eyes
and noses. They are made for a child, so there are no buttons or sharp
objects unless custom ordered for an older child or adult. Safety is
my main objective.
What a thrill it has been for me, as I just love making these cute cuddly bears. Each one I make, Olivia asks "mine, mine"?
Each
bear is truly a keepsake and no two bears ever look the same. The
ideas, fabrics and colors are endless. And now I have added to my bear
collection, custom-made critters and quilts. So won't you let me make a custom bear, critter or quilt for you?
